Why support us?

Leeds DEC is a small, efficient and effective charity with a wealth of development education and teaching experience.

As an independent charity we can focus on the issues important to our users and partners rather than on what is hot on the political agenda.

As an independent charity we can focus on the issues important to our users and partners rather than on what is hot on the political agenda. We empower young people to make decisions and take actions in their own lives, based on their own values and concerns. We strive to communicate the perspectives of our southern partners to encourage solidarity and respect. The majority of our funding is spent on delivering services rather than on promotion, marketing or fundraising.
